Private firm launches $450mn Laos wind farm to supply power to northern Vietnam

Sao Mai Wind Power JSC, a member of Vietnam’s major private conglomerate Sao Mai Group, has launched a US$450 million wind power project in Xieng Khouang Province, Laos, aimed at supplying a stable source of clean electricity to northern Vietnam, particularly during peak dry-season demand.
